This morning I woke up, did my morning yoga routine, and decided to make some oats. I went through a phase where I ate oats every morning and I have no idea why that stopped! They're so delicious. These are "pumpkin pie" oats (with almond milk, pumpkin puree, walnuts, vanilla, agave, spices), but I think next time I'll add some raisins for more texture. In a little bit I'm going to do something I usually try to avoid like the plague: run. This has the potential to end disastrously.
Krystina,
ReplyDeleteDo you have a recipe for this or is it a packaged thing? I'd love to try it.
I make my oats! It's super simple and I have a bunch of variations.
ReplyDelete1/2 cup rolled oats
1 cup almond milk (or 1/2 water 1/2 milk if you prefer)
pinch salt
Bring the liquid to a boil, add the oats, then cook for about 5 minutes or until the mixture thickens and liquid is absorbed/oats are fully cooked.
Add in whatever you want towards the end (here I added 2 tbsp pumpkin, handful of chopped toasted walnuts, pinch of cinnamon, ginger, & nutmeg, 1 tsp vanilla extract, and 1 tsp agave nectar)
Running is good for you! I hate it too. Trying to get into it despite myself! That oatmeal looks delicious, and I'm not even a pumpkin fan...
ReplyDeleteI've actually started to really like running! I kind of zone out while I'm doing it and get a rush. Hopefully I can keep it up.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I love pumpkin and can ensure you that the oats are indeed delicious.
